I'm glad it worked out Rachel. I'm writing a new recipe this weekend, but it's definitely not healthy. LOL Dark Chocolate Truffle Brownies. I'll be posting the recipe here when I'm finished. :)

I used this recipe last weekend for my sister's bridal shower. I substituted pre-cooked frozen chicken breast strips, cut into small chunks for the shredded chicken (for convenience in preparation). Also, I would say that I doubled the chicken, without doubling anything else. And in reviewing the recipe right now I realize that I forgot the green peppers! (darn!) It was a fabulous chicken salad! We served it on croissant rolls. Everyone raved about it and there have been numerous requests for recipe. Thank you for this flavorful, healthy, delicious recipe!

I use it for the reasons listed above...but also with math manipulatives. It really helps for the students to visualize the math as I model it, and allows them to know how to do it on their own.

I also use it for step by step projects, allowing students to see a "zoomed in how to". We did origami this week for art literacy, and the volunteers had the whole class making all kinds of folded paper objects. It was so helpful to use the document camera!

We play class games using the document camera. They love that!

What about show and tell? You know when a student brings in a very special coin or small object? You can ZOOM on in and note all the details...It sure beats passing it around, and takes a lot less time.

I could go on and on...but the last thing I'll say that we use the document camera for is student speeches and presentations. Students are allowed to show their project in full detail to their classmates. Another thing you can do is turn the camera up so that you can show the speaker/student on the big screen. This really makes them feel official...like celebrities!

Hey, nice recipie! I haven't tried it yet, but I look forward to doing so in the near future.

I did, however, make a batch of Lemon Rice Krispy Treats today. I had to come up with the idea myself because there's seems to be no written recipie on the net yet. Anyway, I made them the same way the original instructions tell you to, but I added 3/4 cup of lemon juice when I mined in the cereal. I let 7 other folks try my new snack (3 of which were kids and teens). It was a hit with them.

I think the lemon flavor does a nice job of cutting down on the sugary taste without overpowering it, or making it tasteless. Try it, and let me know what you think!
